OUR HISTORY
1987-1992
Before the establishment of Vinh Hung Dong Nai, operations were managed by Vinh Hung Co. The company built a wood chip processing factory in Ba Ria Vung Tau province. Meanwhile, the company also exported logs and timber, with main export markets in China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.




1993
In 1993, the company started growing its own seedlings in order to start plantations. Provincial Party secretary of Ba Ria Vung Tau and the Department of Industry visited the company's nursery.




1994
In early 1994, Vice Chairman of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province visited the Vinh Hung factory.

Later, the Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development visited the forest plantation of the company. The total area of afforestation is now around 1,500 hectares.




1995-1997
The company forest has reached maturity. Meanwhile, in 1997, the building of a wood chip factory and port specializing in wood chip export commenced.

Vinh Hung Dong Nai is founded in September 1997.




1998
The opening ceremony of SFR Vietnam takes place. Attendees include Japanese clients (Chuesu Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. and ITOCHU group) and the Department of Industry.




1999
In August 1999, SFR Vietnam exports the first batch of wood chip to Japan via its new, specialized conveyor belt/port.




2017-2020
Ground breaking ceremony of Vinh Hung Port takes place in 2017. Phase I of the port construction is completed in 2020.




2019
In 2019 SFR Vietnam was awarded the Certificate of Merit for contributing to the export wood processing industry by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
